If I feel okay following an accident, should I still see a doctor?

March 2, 2017 Ann Jacobs

In our law firm, the rule is we don’t make cases; we take cases. We’re not there to create injuries that aren’t there, and we don’t want you to be injured, because candidly there is nobody who would prefer to be injured than not.

If you think there’s something going on with your body that’s different today than it was before the accident, you should probably go get it checked out fairly early on in the process.

A Word of Caution About Offers of “Free” Medical Care

Don’t be swayed by an offer of free medical care and treatment. There is no such thing as free care and treatment.

Never respond to mail solicitations from medical professionals claiming that you must see them and that there will be no cost. It’s not true, and it probably will harm your case more than help it.

If you need care and treatment, definitely go get care and treatment. If you don’t have the money for care and treatment, talk to your lawyer about what free, low cost, or other resources are available.
